Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 30 October 2026

These terms describe the conditions for using the Pawly app and pawlyapp.gripe. Pawly is provided by Viktoryia Tamasheuskaya, an individual based in Lithuania (“Pawly”, “we” or “us”). You can contact us at support@pawlyapp.gripe.

At a glance. Pawly helps you organise pet care. Keep important original records, check your reminders and consult your veterinarian about health decisions. You retain ownership of the content you upload. Your mandatory consumer rights remain protected.

1. Using the service

By using Pawly, you agree to these terms to the extent they form a valid agreement under applicable law. If you do not agree, please do not use the service. You must be able to enter into this agreement under the law that applies to you, or have the authorisation of a parent or guardian where required.

Pawly provides tools for organising pet profiles, medical records, appointments with optional clinic address search, reminders, recurring care routines, weight measurements and optional weight goals, food, meal and feeding plan tracking with optional calorie goals, food product lookup and barcode or label scanning, notes, photos and documents, and for celebrating a dog’s birthday. Pet Health Brief helps you compile selected records into a summary to review and share. Pawly Guide provides general educational pet-care information and links to further reading. A pet profile can also store an optional emergency contact phone number. The optional lost-pet QR profile lets you publish selected pet information and contact details through a public link. You can also invite other Pawly accounts to share a dog profile, its care records and a private chat. Accepted members can view and update shared dog information and participate in the chat. Available features may vary by app version and platform.

The Privacy Policy explains how personal information is processed. Acceptance of these terms is not consent to optional data processing that requires separate consent.

2. Your account

Provide an email address you control when creating an email account, keep your credentials secure, and let us know if you suspect unauthorised use. You are responsible for the information you enter and the actions you authorise through your account.

Where guest access is offered, records are linked to an anonymous session. Access may be lost if that session is removed, you sign out or you change devices. An email account allows you to sign in again and retrieve records saved to that account.

3. Pet care, records and reminders

Pawly is an organisational tool and does not provide veterinary diagnosis, treatment or emergency services. Information stored or displayed in the app does not replace advice from a qualified veterinarian. Contact a veterinarian promptly when your pet needs medical attention.

Pet Health Brief is a user-editable summary of information in your Pawly records. Review it for accuracy before sharing; it is not a medical record verified by a veterinarian. Pawly Guide is general educational content, not advice tailored to your pet. For urgent symptoms, contact a veterinarian or emergency veterinary service promptly. An optional emergency contact number is a convenience for reaching a person you choose; it does not connect you to emergency services, place calls automatically or guarantee that anyone will answer.

Food and feeding tools help you record what your pet eats. Product details come from Open Pet Food Facts, a community-maintained database, or from what you enter or scan, and may be incomplete, outdated or wrong. Barcode and label scanning can misread values, so review them before saving and compare them with the food packaging. Calorie figures, portions calculated from a feeding guide and calorie goals are estimates, not a feeding prescription. Ask your veterinarian before changing your pet’s diet, especially for weight loss, allergies, illness or a prescription diet.

You choose and maintain the information and schedules you enter. Check medication instructions, appointment details and care dates against the original instructions from your veterinarian.

For a dog profile with an exact, known birthday, Pawly may send an annual birthday message to the verified email address on your account. The message is a celebration feature and may include your dog’s name and age when available. Keep the birthday information accurate. Birthday messages depend on email delivery and may be delayed or not delivered.

Reminder delivery depends on factors including device permissions, device settings, timezone, internet access and email delivery. Notifications may be delayed or missed. Use an additional method for time-sensitive care and do not rely solely on Pawly for medication or emergency reminders.

Keep original medical documents and copies of important records. Saving an appointment in Pawly does not book it with a clinic, and entering a microchip number does not register it with a pet registry. Clinic addresses found through address search come from OpenStreetMap data and may be inaccurate or out of date; confirm the address with the clinic.

4. Your records and uploaded content

You retain ownership of your photos, documents, notes and other content. You give us a limited, non-exclusive permission to store, copy, transmit, format and display that content only as needed to provide Pawly, maintain the service and fulfil your requests. Service providers may carry out those tasks on our behalf.

This permission does not allow us to sell your content or use your private pet photos in advertising. It ends when the content is deleted from our systems, subject to any limited retention described in the Privacy Policy or required by law. For a shared dog profile, you may invite other Pawly accounts using an invitation link or code. An invitee must accept while signed in before receiving access. Current members can access the shared dog profile, related care records and chat, and can contribute information and messages visible to the other members. The owner can remove members or cancel an invitation; a member can leave. Do not invite someone or add information about another person without authority to do so. Removing access does not recall copies already made by a member. If you share a walk in the chat, the other members of that dog’s chat can see your position while the walk is active; share a walk only with people you trust to see where you are. If you turn on chat key backup, keep your passphrase safe: we cannot recover it, and without it earlier encrypted messages may not be restorable on a new device. Chat message text and reactions are encrypted on participating devices when chat encryption is enabled; photos and shared profile data are stored separately. If you enable a lost-pet QR profile, you instruct us to display the pet name, one selected pet photo, essential care instructions, your chosen primary contact method and any optional alternative phone number on a public page. The public contact method may be a phone number, social media link, Telegram contact or Facebook page. Anyone who obtains the QR link can open the page without a Pawly account and may copy or share the information. The link stays the same when you edit the shared contact details or care instructions. Treat the link as public and include only information you intend finders to see. Do not include a home address, email address, medical records or other sensitive details.

Only upload content you own or have permission to use. Respect other people’s privacy and intellectual property rights. Before publishing another person’s phone number or contact link as an alternative contact, obtain their permission. You can disable sharing or replace the QR link in the app; replacing it makes the old printed tag link stop working. Disabling the link prevents future access through Pawly, but cannot recall information that someone has already copied, saved or shared. The QR page helps a finder contact you; it does not provide location tracking, guarantee recovery or replace a microchip registry, veterinary advice or emergency services. Use email reminder addresses you control or have permission to contact.

5. Acceptable use

Use Pawly lawfully. You must not:

  • Access another person’s account or records without permission.
  • Upload malicious software or use the service to send spam, harass others or distribute unlawful content.
  • Use shared profiles or chat to impersonate someone, send unwanted invitations or messages, or disclose another person’s information without permission.
  • Interfere with the service, bypass access controls or intentionally overload its systems.
  • Infringe another person’s privacy, intellectual property or other legal rights.

If you discover a security issue, report it to support@pawlyapp.gripe and avoid accessing or disclosing other users’ information.

6. Pawly’s software and design

The app’s software, branding and design are owned by their respective rights holders. You may use Pawly for its intended purpose under these terms. These terms do not transfer ownership of the app to you or restrict rights granted under applicable law or the licences of included open-source software.

7. Availability, changes and third-party services

We aim to keep Pawly useful and available, but maintenance, faults and interruptions can occur. We may update features to improve the service, address security issues, meet legal requirements or reflect changes in supporting services.

For a material change that adversely affects your use, we will provide reasonable notice where practicable and any notice or remedies required by law. If we discontinue the service, we will aim to give you reasonable time to obtain a copy of your records, unless urgent legal or security circumstances prevent this.

Pawly depends on services for hosting, authentication, file storage and email delivery, and uses open data and services such as Open Pet Food Facts for food products and Photon and OpenStreetMap for addresses and maps. Open Pet Food Facts and OpenStreetMap data are made available under the Open Database Licence: © Open Pet Food Facts contributors and © OpenStreetMap contributors. Your device, app store and external websites may have their own terms. Their use does not reduce our obligations to you under applicable law.

If paid features are introduced, their price and payment terms will be presented before you choose to purchase. Using Pawly does not itself authorise a future charge.

8. Ending use and account deletion

You may stop using Pawly at any time. To delete your account, use Delete profile on your account Profile screen and complete the confirmations, or email privacy@pawlyapp.gripe. Deleting one pet’s profile, uninstalling the app or signing out does not delete the whole account.

Account deletion removes access to the account and its associated records and uploads when completed. Leaving a shared dog profile or having access revoked ends your access to that profile but does not delete the owner’s profile or shared records for other members. Save any records you want to keep first. If deletion fails, contact us for help. The Privacy Policy’s retention section explains remaining files, logs, backups and copies already shared.

We may restrict or suspend access where reasonably necessary to respond to a serious breach of these terms, protect users or comply with law. Where appropriate, we will explain the reason and give you an opportunity to resolve it. You may contact support to ask for a review and to request access to your records where lawful.

9. Responsibility and your legal rights

We will provide Pawly with reasonable care and skill. We do not promise uninterrupted operation, error-free records or delivery of every reminder. You remain responsible for care decisions and for checking information you enter.

Our responsibility for loss or damage is determined by applicable law. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, or removes mandatory rights concerning digital services, remedies, privacy or consumer protection.

10. Applicable law and disputes

These terms are governed by Lithuanian law, subject to any mandatory consumer protections in the country where you habitually live. This choice of law does not remove those protections or your right to bring a claim before a court available to you under applicable law.

Contact support@pawlyapp.gripe if you have a complaint so we can try to resolve it. This does not prevent you from contacting a competent authority or seeking other legal remedies.

11. Changes to these terms

We may revise these terms to reflect service changes or legal requirements. The date above identifies the latest version. We will provide notice of material changes and obtain agreement where required by law. Changes do not retrospectively remove rights you already have.
